The Chilean Social Democrat Radical Party, known in Spanish as Partido Radical Socialdemócrata (PRSD), has its roots deeply embedded in the history of Chilean politics. Emerging from the Radical Party, which was founded in the 19th century, the PRSD was officially established in 1994, following a merger with the Social Democracy Party.
